The Pillow Positive Project

Since 2012, COCO-MAT has been supporting women who have undergone breast cancer surgery as part of its social responsibility.

So far, more than 10,000 women have been helped by offering them heart-shaped pillows.
Seven oncology hospitals in Greece, three in Germany, and two in Belgium and the Netherlands have joined this campaign with great success and received positive and encouraging feedback, so COCO-MAT can confidently continue to support women in need.

The initiative called the Heart Pillow Project began in 2001 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Tennessee, USA, and has expanded to more than 50 cities in 18 countries worldwide, with the volunteer help of many people around the world.

Today, COCO-MAT, which calls this action "The Pillow Positive Project," helps even more women through various activities and partnerships with oncology hospitals and private doctors, with the aim of creating a global movement of support.

What is the Pillow Positive project?

The Pillow Positive pillow is a soft heart-shaped pillow designed as an aid for women who have undergone surgery for the treatment of breast cancer.

At what stage can they be given?

Heart cushions are given to women in the very first postoperative phase and immediately help them to recover faster.

What does the shape help with?

The shape of the compress allows women to hold it under the arm, which relieves pain, helps reduce swelling and protects the incision site.

The support is very important because recognized doctors have reported that it reduces the use of painkillers to some extent and improves the psychology of patients.

What material is it made of?

It's made of a 100% cotton cover that ensures soft contact with the skin, while the filling, made of washable pure virgin wool, ensures the necessary hygiene. The heart-shaped pillow is carried and presented in a COCO-MAT cotton sheet.

The heart-shaped cushion is made of natural materials with the well-known know-how that COCO-MAT uses for its products.
